What the hell are we trying to do?

The Starving Iguanas website is the attempt at many things...
Mainly it is an attempt to create an artisitic and free of cost on-line art community. An attempt to create an outlet for the artists, writers and photographers. A place for them to share their ideas with the world without worrying about some evil promoter trying to get money from them or off their art.
It is also an attempt to create an 'on line zine' of sorts. Words and art and visions from amazing artists all over the U.S. and hopefully someday the world.
If this website allows you or anyone to view or read an idea from another artist then this website is a success.
As I continue traveling around the US I will keep promoting Starving Iguanas, spreading the word of our 'on line art community' and searching out more artist to join us.
The theory is... if we all tell people to visit the site, whether to see our own stuff or others, we will all support each other.

How do I get my own portfolio?

I have talked to some of you about portfolio's already. If I haven't and you are interested in starting one here on Starving Iguanas, contact me, Ether, and tell me what you want, what you wanna call it, your email, your name or nickname, your website or blog, and any info you want me to try and attach to your portfolio. After I create one for you it's very easy to upload your words or art.
I would reccomend taking art into Photoshop and making a second layer with your name on it over top of your art, then if you just change the oppacity of the 2nd layer, you will have created a poorman's watermark. Please try to figure out how to watermark you art, I can help you, but I'm REAL busy with the rest of the site and traveling, so please try to figure it out yourself first. If you just can't do it I will definitely help you though.
